Wherever She Dreams

She will never smile, she will never cry,
She will never see the brisk sunrise.
She will never wonder what’s to come.
She will never hold her newborn child.

She will never look to days with glee,
Feel what it’s like to wander free.
She will never sing a song of hope,
She will never ever want or need.

She will never feel a love’s embrace,
Or see the look upon a face,
She will never smell a meadows rush,
She will never ever walk this place.

But she shan’t cry at what is wrong,
She will never feel she must belong.
She will never grieve or lose a soul.
She will never miss what now is gone.

She will never face what pain must come,
She will never fear the nights that’s from,
A thousand million tears and scars –
She’ll never have to be so strong

As to see the grief that all must face,
The wretched darkness of this place,
Wherever she dreams,
It is far from here,
She’s safe, she sleeps, on clouds she waits.
