Both Sides Of The Wall
Another Gravestone was chipped today,
Another soul is gone.
Sad news to you – the Shepard slay,
How long can this go on?
Two people running with the wind,
Two people, with one heart.
Souls together, so heaven sent,
Won’t ever be apart.
An echo in my drum I hear,
Some home no longer stands,
The silent sound, a drop of a tear,
We hear them shout demands.
A farmer walking in the grass,
Whistles to his dog.
When they’ve finished and time has past,
They’ll cuddle on a log.
A stone in which a heart was placed,
Was taken with no pain.
To barter with some mind encased,
The thrown into the rain.
The day so fine to show the care,
On beaches families do,
Together for once, all are there,
A special bond so true.
Somebody with the wrong styled skin,
Is taunted till they shake,
These battles for nobody wins,
But life is what they take.
A child is lost, far in its mind,
And such joy that it brings,
A gift from God, forever kind,
So the child’s joy will begin.
A Population filled with angst,
As a finger threatens so.
“You’re gone, if you don’t give me thanks!”
Such powers we don’t know.
Someone has just now here received,
A word of thanks and joy.
No words can ever be deceived,
As these words so mirror Troy.
What is wrong and what is right?
For we are they who now must choose.
To show one love or to portray one fight,
To lift the soul or let it bruise…
