Goodbye To The Past
In a world from the west –
she sits and she cries.
As her world – what is left –
simply falls away – dies.
A child comes to haunt –
to shatter her dreams,
God bless this precious girl –
who had little to care.
Outside lives carry on –
Oblivious – shy,
Inside everything’s gone –
and she can’t explain why.
Will the walls that they built –
ever let her decide.
God bless this precious girl –
who has so much to hide.
So she enters the doorway –
goodbye to the past,
To a love that sits waiting –
she knew’d never last.
God bless you for demons –
god bless you for night.
God bless those who helped –
this poor precious girl fight.
