Introduction
We sit here by the hands of God,
We listen, ears flow tense.
We buy our food, we buy our lives,
A bargain by the pence.
We give our hearts to Demi-Gods,
For we think they can rule.
But rule what more than rule our lives,
For when we are such fools.
So please dear friend, look at my God.
The power which he yields.
Controls our nights, controls our lives,
Herein deceiving fields.
