When
that moment happens, I wonder what it is like? Such a monumental moment, and you
have absolutely no control over it. It’s strange, weird thinking about.
How
in the name of all things garlicky is a person supposed to prepare for that
moment?
We
all know it is going to happen, but our brains kind of push slightly off centre,
it doesn’t register. What that happens though, when that little button in our
brains snaps back, and the prospect of Death comes full circle and faces us,
what do we do?
Should
we live our lives better, change things about ourselves? Should we fear the fact
that one day we are going to experience this change; be it life to death or this
world to the next.
Or
maybe the fact that when death envelopes everything, we are going to know
absolutely nothing about.
One
moment we’ll be here, the next –
René Descartes once said “Cogito
ergo sum.” This translates simply to: “I think, therefore I am.” And maybe
that is the bridge we have to cross before anyone can ever accept Death.
When we die, will we exist? Does our
spirit exist when our brain ceases to?
I don’t know the answers, and it
may be a while before we ever do.Except
of course the billions who have passedfrom
this world.
Remember though, to prove God &
Heaven exist is a monumental task. To prove he doesn’t?
